steps

sometimes it’s one step forward and two steps back until a lesson is learned yet knowing it’ll be okay and this too shall pass is all it takes to get to the end -aw

grateful

grateful for those little things the ones that bring meaning but get lost in our everyday -aw

fragile life

we’re only here for so long life so fragile yet we bring it meaning each and every day -aw

an era nearly done

here’s to eras gone by filled with joy growth, pain, learning happy moments, sad moments all these years gone by and yet it truly is the beginning of the end -aw

how do i talk about myself less with more love in kind -aw

still water

mirror nature may i always be able to change, grow, move, renew only the still water spoils -aw

all along

not perfect alone not perfect together taking good with bad and the bad with good to what do i long for? what is it that i’m seeking? to what end do i yearn for? or has it been here all along -aw

peace + love

what’s the rush? being present with others is the gift of the present nowhere else i need to be and that’s when i know i’ve truly found peace + love -aw

author or reader

a new chapter in a book characters, lessons, goals, settings but do i write? or do i simply read? -aw

never be the same

so much to learn and gain on the other side of fear and discomfort the great smokescreen keeping us locked in our rooms of comfort alas here i go a note to you old friend for i will never be the same after these events unfold or any events for that matter -aw

one end or the other

caught between the rock and a hard place with space in between it’s not so bad after all one end for the better the other for the best to which end i’ll go to that end, i don’t yet know -aw

cascading decisions

what a crazy turn of events said myself from another timeline how one decision cascades into others creating a new life entirely what other versions of me exist where have they taken this same life through a looking glass i’d go just to see what possibilities exist -aw

hot mug steam

the steam of a hot mug shows the way of cold wind just like the stream of thoughts shows our soul breathing in and out -aw

future sadness

a future sadness growing old and time elapsing suspended between memories and a future undecided every moment is a gift an opportunity to create, to share, to embrace make the most of -aw

obscure paths

growth lives on the other side of fear an obscure path rewards the courageous -aw

hope

do not abandon hope for it’s the one thing that keeps us going like fuel to an engine -aw

evermore

time elapses second by second minute by minute to where does it go, why does it slow when it’s watched it ticks on when life is lived it escapes us evermore -aw

denting the universe

no one is ever as big as they may seem unreachable or far away anything is within reach a wishful intent then honest feeling and denting the universe can go oh so very far my dear -aw

a gloom

there’s a grim feeling to the cold and darkness winter’s arrival yet to come but only gloom on the horizon begging for nostalgia touches of warmth and light like a candle down a dark hallway memories that can’t be touched, only felt -aw

retreating inwards

do i ask too much for the help i do receive what did i do wrong thoughts swirling a guilt, a fear leading me to retreat inwards lest my soul diminishes and fights for what it feels -aw

a study in circles

we’re subject to whatever is present this is where we are, where we belong sometimes we get caught though in the stray lines, the margins through no fault of our own we’re irrevocably faulty stuck in our own worlds until lives intersect and collide -aw

ad astra

to one day when we may be among the stars transcended into transcension itself the stars inside us no longer alone -aw

funny fear

it’s a funny thing, fear scaring and tearing things apart yet it’s the thing you can approach to say hello it’s me not unlike a friend you just haven’t met yet -aw

voices

you didn’t know what you were looking for until you heard those voices in your ear or seen the visions that brought life meaning a magical masquerade filling gaps of time and trial -aw

hangs in the balance

keep the faith that little light that shines flickering, wavering keeping ahold of both sides of fate do i wither out or do i burn on eternal both exist yet it all hangs in the balance -aw
